Climbing Social Trails Inventory

In 2020, the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance wanted to inventory social trails in a popular climbing area, with the eventual goal of performing mitigation work to prevent further impacts to environmental resources. I designed a survey to rank trail conditions and document environmental impacts, and used a high-accuracy GPS unit and field-mapping software to conduct the field work.

While the map below is the only portfolio-appropriate product I have on hand, the project showcases my proficiency with field methods and geospatial technologies.
