This series of maps was created for a 2020 press conference hosted by SUWA about the impacts of vegetation treatments on public land. I used the USGS’s Land Treatment Digital Library (LTDL) to determine the extent of vegetation treatment projects across the Western U.S. and the potential impacts of a NEPA categorical exclusion proposed by the BLM.
