Wrangell-St. Elias from Space

This Landsat 9 image shows the southern end of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska. To create this image, I acquired raw Landsat 9 data from the USGS and used Photoshop to combine the RGB bands and manually adjust tonal range, contrast, and color balance. I also pansharpened this image, which is a nifty technique that sharpens a 30 meter landsat image into a 15 meter image using the "panchromatic" band of the landsat product. The result is a crisp and visually striking image that highlights the beauty of Earth from above.
